Deb’s Journey

It’s a no school day today! We got maybe 7 inches yesterday….and the drifts are something else. I’m very thankful for our 4 wheel drive vehicle. We only had one cancellation at work today, that pretty good considering the weather.

My oldest hasn’t had his ipod touch for one month now…..yeah he’s been on restrictions. Will they ever learn? He must be going thru the human growth hormonealong with exercising the freedom hormone, or maybe they are the same. In either case, it gets him in trouble!
Sometimes we as parents give them too much freedom without knowing the places they could go. Like the ipod touch and the connection with the internet, I think I was a little naïve. In any case we will fix that problem, but with the curiosity of a teenage boy I want him to be able to come to us and listen to any type of song they come up with. So that’s what we have started to do. My boys like the beat of these songs while they don’t bother to listen to the words, so it’s easy for me to look it up for them. I look them up and we examine them together. We are living in a very bold society and one that cares nothing for things that are godly.
