Deb’s Journey

I love my boys but as my mama has say, “I have 100 percent boys”, and I think that means they are both very active, high strung, and engaging in anything that is not boring.

Now as a mom I like to inform teachers that I do know this about both of them and want to be very active in what they are doing in school. I want to know if they are misbehaving, how they are responding to their teachers, and of course how their grades are. I want them to also know that I’m on their side, that I know my boys aren’t perfect…..putting all of that up front is a good thing and set the tone for the year.

So far my oldest is the one to watch. He gets bored easily and loves to talk in the classroom, though he is learning that it won’t be tolerated. Then there’s the being the christian and wanting to be cool…..and can that tie together for a 14 year old boy.

I pray for him often that God will become alive and active in his life……….cause soon enough he will be off to college and needing a college student loan.
