Black Friday Deals
We did the black Friday shopping this year….my husband loves to shop. Usually my mother in law would down for Thanksgiving and spend the night so she could stay with the boys the next morning, but with them getting older…well the oldest did a coffee give away with his group from church.
He got up at 3 am and went on his way to the church to start making the coffee for the hundreds of people that would be standing in line waiting for the stores to open their doors. Yeah so they took the coffee and passed it out to them while they would in line. Pretty cool! He really enjoyed it.
The youngest stayed with us, but we were up around 6 am and was in town by 7 am. We weren’t expecting the crowds of people that we would encountered, not in the Midwest, but there they were. It was like being back on the east coast, we were surprised.
Our first store was Staples but everyone in there had found there one thing and was in line, they were wrapped all around the store, so much so that shopping was hard to do because they were in line where you wanted to look for items. We quickly left, I bet they were in line for 2-3 hours!
Then to hear about the tragic accident that happened in New York, where an employee was trampled to death all in the name of a great sale. It’s really such a sad thing, and it’s hard to believe that we humans could disregard human life for such things as a TV buy. It’s not as if there was a motorcycle accident lawyers Los Angeles where a number of things can happen while you are driving, this was an act of don’t carism. That’s probably not a word but it’s works in this case.
