Oh What A Day
Today I worked at the school addressing envelopes, but I also was going to be there with my sound equipment for the 3rd grade class. Each month a class wins a special reward for being really good. Their reward was having a sock hop fully furnished with root beer floats. So we dance the afternoon away with nice clean songs from the 70’s and 80’s. We had a blast!! But now I am so sore, it’s just pathetic, but oh the fun I had with the kids.
It was so fun watching the 3rd graders and how daring they were, the boys were dancing, the girls were being goofy. We were doing the twist and anything else we could remember. Not sure you could do it with older kids as easy, but who knows maybe this might be a monthly activity.
The time will go quickly, one day these kids will have wedding rings on, kids to be raising, house payments to make, and all the other responsibility that goes with life…..enjoy these moments, too quickly they will be gone!
